We camp at Friscowoods Campground for the 4th of July and we always have great time. We camp right on the sound and we have an amazing view. They recently put in new pier in on that side. It's nice for fishing or just talking a walk out to look at the water. We have watched some amazing sunsets from there. The sites are spacious and clean. We had such a good time for the 4th we went back 2 weeks later. The 2nd trip we stayed near the front and we liked that spot as well. The campground is in a good location to restaurants, ice cream shops, shopping, the ferry to oakacoke and different beach access ramps. Everyone that works there is really nice and helpful. They plan different events throughout the year. We have done a couple and have always had fun. We love the visit this campground and can't wait to go back.

I would give this place a billion stars if I could. We will never stay at any other campground in OBX. We have been coming here for many years and the staff has become family. They bend over backwards for their guests and are genuinely great people. Our favorite is the potluck at Thanksgiving. It's an absolute blast! The campground itself is amazing. There is a nice pool to enjoy and the sound is right there as well (Don't miss the sunsets over the sound!!) There are plenty of trees to provide shade in the heat of the summer. We've stayed in different sites all over the campground and have narrowed down our favorites. The camp store is full of goodies to browse through. Bath houses are clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!!

We have been coming here for 9 years. Great memories have been made here throughout the years with the kids. A little piece of history here, great owners putting money back into their town and supporting the troops. Wade has been great to talk to through the years and we look forward to decades of memories in the future. You will love this family Campground. Thank you Frisco woods!

One of our best places we have had the pleasure of visiting! This wonderful place is large and has a lot of character. Our site was right on the water. Really enjoyed it. I personally think the price for a night’s stay is high but that’s my opinion and has no impact on the amount of people staying here. So splurge a little and check this place out! I also wanted to say that camp store has everything you need!

I can't say enough good things. 6 of my friends booked two campsites side by side and we didn't want to leave. The campers this place attracts are so sweet, we had so many fun conversations with our neighbors and their pups (so dog friendly). All the sites were clean, easy to find and a decent size. The bathrooms were A+, showers were clean and warm (!!!). Close to so many beach access and sound access spots. Walked to dinner at the Tavern one night. (definitely add it to your list). We stayed over Easter weekend and participated in the adult Easter egg hunt which was a good time! We cant wait to come back 🥰
