This 31-site park on 10 acres in the 1,822-acre Kitty Hawk Maritime Woods Reserve is explicitly geared toward long-term and year-round RV living, not short weekend rentals — the property states this is intentional, to keep noise down and maintain a stable tenant community. Sites sit under old-growth hardwoods (100+ feet tall).
5+ miles of biking/walking trails and 8+ miles of kayaking canals through the reserve, plus the adjacent 16-acre Sandy Run Park (cookout facilities, pavilion, boat launch, bird watching). Phone: 252-548-6102.

This place won’t answer calls or return emails. If you’re full then let people know. Some people actually need a place to live. Don’t waste your time. They obviously don’t care. Update: They did respond to my email after I emailed 3 times. No voicemail was left because the message said to email or to try to call again later. When I tried again the call said the number has been disconnected.

Here is why i give 1 star. I have been trying to get someone to answer my calls, reply to my voicemails or reply to my emails for almost a month. Voicemail indicates its the right place and the voicemail isnt full. At this point ive just decided to assume the place is full but ya know what would have been nice?... someone picking up the phone to let me know. Even if you dont want to pick up the phone you should change you voicemail to let everyone know that your campground is full, seems obvious. Makes me wonder if its this hard to contact them with legitimate problems if i had moved there. Some of you might be thinking that i dont qualify and maybe im being ignored. Ill go ahead and let yall know that in some of my voicemails i let them know that i have 15 years of landlord references and the same job for over 6 years with no signs of leaving anytime soon. I work 40+ hours a week and It would have just been me and my nice 27ft camper. Anyways ill let it have one star because i did drive to the place hoping it had an office i could talk to someone in (they dont) but the place was beautiful and i would have loved to park my nice camper there. Watch this be the only way i get a response 😂🤣. Oh, so i get a response when it affects you. Just so everyone know, i just got a response to my email. Looks like i may qualify (not sure why he is appologising for me not qualifying) says if i submit a picture of my camper and whatever pets i may have he will put me on a waiting list... no thanks dude. You already proved to be bad at this. Seriously, how hard is it to answer the phone or return a call!?!?! This guy is just used to everyone wanting to be in his park, so he doesnt feel like he owes anyone the time of day. Well thats disrespectful dude. When people try to call you and leave messages it means they may need a place to live. Do you have any idea how close i came to loosing everything?!?! All i get is "sorry you didnt qualify" and "you got a responce to your email"... yeah, today after leaving you a bad reveiw!!! This an idication of how you run your park? Go ahead and say you couldnt understand my voicemail... how many did i leave??? At least 4 and i left my number each time. I also dont have a blocked number. This guy is right though, dont try to get in his park they way i did. Dont call, dont leave messages, just dont try at all. Save yourself the time

We got to see a ton of turtles. We took a couple of different hikes. We were all alone for our covered bridges hike, which we lived
