Nice service and plating, grits were good... but this was a medium for my porkchop? I haven't gotten sick or anything but I do think this is a little under rare. Didn't complain so I can't say I gave them the opportunity to fix it, but it was a little concerning. Crab cakes were excellent but I didn't get a picture. Just really pricey to be eating almost raw porkchop when I ordered it medium.

If you’re looking for a place to host a large group or special event, I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. From the very beginning, Amaloi was incredible to work with. She was responsive, organized, genuinely kind, and made coordinating our wedding dinner for 40 guests feel effortless. She and her team created a private section that felt warm and intimate despite the size of our party, which made the evening even more special. The service was outstanding. Every table was attended to with care, and the staff worked together seamlessly throughout the night. Their coordination allowed us to relax, spend time with our family and friends, and truly enjoy our wedding celebration instead of worrying about the details. Now for the food—the highlight of the night. Every dish came out beautifully plated, served consistently, and absolutely delicious. I’m not exaggerating when I say every single guest complimented the food. Several people told us it was one of the best meals they had during their vacation, and more than one guest said they plan to come back the next time they’re in town. I personally ordered the fried shrimp and salmon, and it was phenomenal. If you visit, do yourself a favor and try it—you won’t be disappointed. Thank you, Amaloi, and your entire team, for helping make one of the most important nights of our lives so memorable. Your hospitality, professionalism, and amazing food made our wedding dinner absolutely perfect. 10/10—we’ll be recommending you to everyone we know.

Can’t believe we had this all to ourselves for a Saturday lunch. Our server was very nice and helpful, the food was solid. They have a lot of tables for larger parties, 6-10 people tables. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.

This place is a scam posing as a serious restaurant. They routinely cancel Open Table reservations for customers who ate there, but are unhappy so they can't leave a review. The business model: Serve the absolute minimum at maximum price. See menu. Jerk Chicken... Half $34 Whole $58. My wife ordered half and was served a leg and a thigh. That's 1/4, not half. Server and manager both explained separately, "That's what we call half." When asked how they decide whether the patron gets leg/thigh or breast/wing, mgr. said, "The kitchen prepares what is at hand." Even KFC knows better. After multiple rounds of server and manager resisting any accommodation at all (like serving the other 1/4 chicken, or adjusting price accordingly) they reluctantly (after calling owner on the phone) discounted our $165 check for two ($201 after tipping the poor waiter who was obviously embarrassed) a grand total of $3.40. The fact that the manager needed the owner's OK is a red flag in itself. It gets worse. Before they even presented the check, they called the police and had an officer waiting!!! Why? Who knows. There was no scene. No raised voices. No threats. Maybe this is a common occurrence there. Not sure. As I was leaving, having paid the "discounted" amount, I told the mgr. "I'll leave an appropriate review." She said, and this is nearly verbatim, "Good luck with that, we're cancelling your reservation." I had no idea what that meant until the next day I got an email from Open Table (where we made the reservation) saying my reservation had been cancelled. AFTER I paid them. The reason only became obvious when I realized they did this to prevent me from leaving a review on the Open Table website. Evidently, this their typical m.o. Lastly, they also cancelled an upcoming reservation I had at a different restaurant in town that is owned by the same scoundrel. If this place wasn't in a resort area with a constant influx of new victims, they'd be out of business in a matter of months. If you ever had a good meal at any price at this place, thank God for your good fortune. P.S. My $70 ribeye was roughly 1/4" thick, maybe 3/8 max. Was told it was Prime. I highly doubt it, but given the chicken heist I never even bothered complaining about the steak.

On October 10, 2025 we hosted a rehearsal dinner for 80 people at this restaurant. There are no words to describe the amazing service from Amaloi Crossman and her wonderful staff. Everyone was so professional, accommodating and friendly to our guests. The bar staff was perfect and the chef cooked each meal to perfection, and every meal was hot when delivered. Knowing how important this event was to us, Amaloi decorated the venue to match the bride’s wedding colors and it was gorgeous! All of our guests commented on how wonderful the evening was. If you are looking for amazing food while in Corolla or hosting a special event that you know will be done the way you want it to be, look no further than the Broken Plate.
