We love Buxton Munch! It’s a must stop every time on Hatteras! The fish tacos are always my go to so good. In fact, I can never veer off. 🤣 However, all of their food is good. Their homemade chips and salsa are amazing. Soup delicious! Sweet tea the best! As is the staff! They are wonderful bunch of people. It is one of the best places to stop for a Late lunch or early dinner! Open 11-4 make it a visit you…. will not regret!

We had lunch here during our recent visit to OBX. The menu had a great variety of options, along with a daily specials page, which was a nice touch. We tried the grilled shrimp tacos, grilled mahi mahi bowl, and shrimp chowder, plus a fruit cup for our little one. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and we especially appreciated the generous amount of vegetables in each dish. Parking was easy to find, but we did have about a 15-minute wait for a table. The servers were clearly very busy, and we did need to remind them about part of our order. That said, the cashier (possibly the owner) was extremely friendly and very helpful, especially when handling our separate receipts. Overall, a good experience with fresh food and welcoming service, despite a few minor delays during a busy time.

We had lunch here and it was DELISH. I had the blackened fish tacos (mahi mahi was the fish of the day) and our 11 year old had the Old Bay seasoned fish tacos. We both loved them, and it was a ton of food. So fresh and so delicious! My husband and our 15 year old had the crabby patty sandwich and they both devoured them and were very happy with their meals. Our 13 year old had the crabby patty wrap and liked it, and our 9 year old had the chicken nuggets kids meal and liked that too. The service was great and the atmosphere was cheerful, laid back, and vibrant. Highly recommend this place for lunch. You won’t be disappointed!

Our favorite lunch spot in OBX. We have been many times over the past ten or so years and went today and it is a good as ever! My favorite is the crabbie avocado wrap but don’t miss the fish tacos or other crabbie patties. So good and a fun beach lunch for eating in or carrying out. Worth a trip to Buxton!

Buxton Munch is a hidden gem in the heart of Hatteras Island. Every time we come to the island, we make a special trip just for the fish tacos! The shrimp corn chowder is out of this world, and you cannot go wrong with their crabby patties. Such a chill beachy atmosphere with kind staff and a very friendly owner! Make it a point to stop here you won’t be disappointed.
