Dancing Turtle Coffee Shop is a small cafe and bakery at the south end of Hatteras Island, a few minutes from the dock where the free NC ferry departs for Ocracoke. It's a budget-friendly stop for coffee and something baked before an early ferry, a day of surf fishing, or the drive back up NC-12 toward the rest of the seashore.

Adorable, little place with great coffee. The staff is so friendly and the food looked amazing. They offer inside and undercover, outside seating with plenty of parking. Show them some love!

Food, coffees, location; everything was amazing! Staff was super nice, and the outdoor seating was great and had lots of shade. Would come again if I visit the outer banks again!

This is a cute little place, a little deceiving from the outside because it just looks like a house. The path up to the place is a little rough and not stroller/wheelchair friendly. They sell a few baked goods and have great coffee. Extra bonus points for being one of the only places on the island to have cold brew!! It’s small inside but there are plenty of tables and areas to sit outside.
