Ocracoke village's morning coffee and bakery stop, done serving by noon
Deja Brew Coffee Shack is a small cafe and bakery on Irvin Garrish Highway in Ocracoke village, pouring coffee and baking up goods each morning from 7 to noon. It's a budget-friendly ($) stop, more suited to a quick start to the day than a long sit-down visit.
Because the hours wrap up by midday, Deja Brew fits naturally into the early part of a day on the island — before heading down to Silver Lake Harbor, catching a morning ferry off the island, or setting out on a bike ride through the village streets. The name and setup suggest a compact, casual shack rather than a full-service cafe, in keeping with Ocracoke's unhurried village pace.
This listing doesn't yet have reviews logged, which says nothing about how long Deja Brew has actually been serving the village — plenty of small Ocracoke businesses build a following slowly and quietly. There's no phone number or website on file either, so the posted 7 a.m. to noon hours are the best guide for planning around a visit.

Great coffee and service. Didn't have the crazy long line like the other place in town. View by the dock was also very nice.

good coffee, not many options and not sweet enough in my opinion. still enjoyed it though

Very good coffees and teas. It gets busy, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. Next time we'll try the breakfast options, too.

Excellent coffee and breakfast. Could not pick a more beautiful place to have your morning cup.
