Henry's Restaurant sits on North Croatan Highway in Kill Devil Hills — the inland, business-district route through town, a distinct road from the oceanfront Beach Road corridor a block or two east. It's an all-day operation, opening at 7 a.m. and running straight through breakfast, lunch, and dinner service most of the week.
Prices fall in the $$ range. Monday is the exception on the schedule: Henry's closes at 2 p.m. that day, making it strictly a breakfast-and-lunch stop to open the week. Tuesday through Sunday, hours run 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., covering everything from an early plate before the beach to a sit-down dinner after.
The Croatan Highway address means easier parking and less traffic to fight than the restaurants lined up directly along Beach Road, especially once summer traffic backs up during peak season. Stopped by Henry's for breakfast while we were recently in the OBX. We were told it was a 25 minute wait but it ended up being about 45. Thankfully, our server was wonderful and our food tasted great. We ordered The Captain, Crab Benedict, Nor'easter, The Mate and an Omelette. Everything came out timely, the portions were large and the best part was how affordable it was! Overall, it was a great experience!

We had a very delicious sea food dinner. The portions are very large . The flounder,crab cakes and shrimp were outstanding. I highly recommend Henry's. The service was first class and plenty of free parking.its top notch.

Perfect breakfast place near Kitty Hawk & Kill Devil Hills! If you go in the morning, all the workers and guests say good morning and really are you feel welcomed! Our waitress, Angel was so attentive, friendly and efficient! It's really a small town, hometown feeling restaurant! There is a little gift shop when you check out too with some unique items and souvenirs. The food was hot, fresh and delicious! If there is a wait, there are rocking chairs to sit on outside. If you go at 11, you can order breakfast or lunch!

If you’re looking for a family friendly environment, good prices and even better food, don’t hesitate to stop in at Henry’s. We ate here 3 out of the 7 days we were in town we were so impressed. My favorite was the fried catfish platter with mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. The portions were amazing, the flavor was amazing, I do not have a single complaint. We also tried the fried flounder, nc style bbq platter, and the shrimp quesadillas, and for dessert peach cobbler à la mode. Each dish had wonderful flavor and great portion sizes. We were very impressed with the food, prices and quality of service. We cannot wait to come back and eat at Henry’s again!

My mom and I tried to go to Art’s Place for breakfast this morning but were turned away because it was 10:30am and they needed to get ready to switch from breakfast to lunch. We were unaware breakfast service stopped so early in the morning. While standing outside of Art’s trying to figure out where to go, a passerbyer recommended Henry’s for good breakfast food - big shout out to him for the recommendation. There was minimal wait, the staff were all incredibly friendly, and the food came out quick and PIPIN hot. Our server Leanne was also very kind, attentive, and helpful. Would recommend!
