High Tide Taphouse sits along N Croatan Highway (US-158) in Kitty Hawk, the northernmost of the three beach towns that make up this stretch of the Outer Banks. It's a stop for craft beer — pours to drink on site and bottles or cans to take back to the beach house — convenient if you're finishing a day on the water or passing through on the way south to Kill Devil Hills or Nags Head.

The Croatan Highway corridor is the inland route most locals use to get around, especially once Beach Road traffic backs up in summer, and High Tide's location puts it within easy reach from either the oceanfront or the soundside. The taphouse is closed Mondays and open the rest of the week.

High Tide doesn't have an online review history built up yet, so your best bet for current tap selections, pricing, or exact hours is checking their website or calling ahead before you go. For a quick beer run or grabbing something to drink back at the house, it's a convenient stop right off the highway in Kitty Hawk.

If you are looking for the ultimate craft beer experience in the Nags Head/Kitty Hawk area, High Tide Taphouse is a must-visit! First off, the beer selection is absolutely massive. With over 40 rotating taps, they have everything from local North Carolina favorites to unique regional finds. Whether you're into heavy stouts, crisp lagers, or hazy IPAs, you are guaranteed to find something you love. The atmosphere is exactly what you want for a coastal hangout—laid-back, welcoming, and full of good energy. It’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy the OBX pace of life. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff is incredibly nice and knowledgeable; they’re happy to give recommendations and make you feel like a regular the moment you walk through the door. It’s rare to find a spot that nails both the variety of drinks and the quality of hospitality this well. Highly recommend stopping by for a pour (or a flight)! We will definitely be back."
