Hoy Lechon - Asian Inspired BBQ sits along NC-12 in Rodanthe, the first of the Hatteras Island villages you reach after crossing the Marc Basnight Bridge onto the island. The name points to lechon, the whole-roasted-pig tradition at the heart of Filipino and broader Southeast Asian barbecue, carried through here alongside other Asian-inspired barbecue dishes. With a limited weekly schedule, it's worth checking hours before you build it into a stop, especially if you're timing a longer drive further down the island toward Avon, Buxton, or Hatteras village.

Went here for lunch on the way out of Cape Hatteras. Got the Chicken/Steak Adobo and Lumpia and all of them were amazing! It’s a very original cooking design and it is very tasty and well done. The amount of food that you get for the price is also awesome. Overall amazing food. Totally recommend if you’re in the area.

This has the best chicken inasal that I've had in the states. The "Cebuchon" is amazing. Pancit and garlic rice hit the spot also. Big portions so you definitely get your money's worth!

I had been wanting to try this place ever since it popped up on my search for food places on Hatteras 4 years ago. We come to OBX at least once a year from Northern Virginia to do some beach camping at Frisco or Ocracoke and the timing was never right to stop on by. We finally made it this year and we are so happy we did! We’ve been missing my mama’s Filipino cooking and this just hit the spot in such an amazing way. Although we wanted to order the whole menu, we were in heaven feasting on lechon, lumpia, chicken and pork skewers, pancit, and garlic rice with a side of atchara and Mang Tomas! It was a good sized meal for 3 people. This will certainly be a tradition on our way back home each year. We already know what we’ll be trying next time. Salamat, Hoy Lechon! Hoy! Lechon. Absolutely fantastic food and the owner was really kind. We visit the OBX every year and we're happy to find a taste of the flavors back in the Philippines. My wife is from the Philippines and the meal was a real treat! We ate the whole "Chicken Inasal" and the flavor was perfect and savory! Salamat, kuya!

On vacation in Rodanthe, right across the street. Spent most of the week smelling the food, and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The owner/chef was extremely helpful as we had never had experience with Filipino food. My kids loved their kabobs and the spring rolls. Pricey, but what food isn’t pricey in a tourist destination? The servings were big - it was worth the money for sure. Our large order (family of 5) also came out super quickly. Salamat for a great meal! :)
