ISOLA Pizzeria and Bar sits on NC-12 in Hatteras village, close to the island's southern tip where the road ends at the ferry docks. The name is a nice touch: isola is Italian for "island," fitting for a pizzeria at the far southern end of Hatteras. Price range is budget-friendly ($), making it a reasonable stop after a day on the beach, off an ORV ramp, or with time to kill before the free NC ferry to Ocracoke, which departs from Hatteras village just down the road. Because this stretch of the island is narrow and exposed, it's worth checking NC-12 conditions after storms roll through — the road here closes more readily than in the villages up the seashore.

This is our 2nd time visiting Hatteras and our 2nd time at Isola. Quiet and laid back with great food and awesome service! This time around we enjoyed some pizza, wings and garlic knots. Everything was great and our waitress was very polite and attentive. This place is going to be our "go to" when we vacation in the area!

Great, laid back place. The pizza has more of a thin crust, slightly crispy on the bottom. Basically a New York style. The soft pretzel was the best I’ve ever had. A little crispy on the outside. Nice and soft on the inside. Not overly chewy like some can be. And the seasoning on the pretzel wasn’t just sea salt but a blend of garlic, salt, and maybe something else. Very complimentary without trying to steal the show. The beer cheese served with the pretzel was also probably the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend this place. I’ll be returning next time I’m in the area.

We loved our dinner. Portions were BIG. Couldn’t finish it all. The pretzel and beer cheese was delicious. I had a chicken quesadilla and hubby had chicken cheesesteak sandwich. Both very satisfied! Service was excellent and restaurant was clean. Very affordable as well.

I ordered the hawiian pizza with cauliflower crust and my husband got a supreme pizza. Both were very good but pricey. Waitress was friendly and service was great. The place seemed to be a favorite because it got busier the longer we were there. Would go back and try other menu items.

We were staying at the Inn next door. They recommended the pizzeria. Really good pizza. The meatball sub is awesome. The fries are the best. The beer is ice cold. The staff were really friendly. The place is really clean. This will be our go to spot every time we come down here
