Marauder's Kitchen sits on Irvin Garrish Highway in Ocracoke village, open for lunch through dinner every day of the week. The name plays off real history — Ocracoke Inlet is where Blackbeard was killed in a 1718 battle, and pirate lore runs deep on this island long before any restaurant picked up the theme. At a $$ price point, it's a straightforward stop for a meal after coming in on one of the ferries that are the only way to reach this end of the Outer Banks: the free hour-long run from Hatteras village, or the longer toll routes from Cedar Island or Swan Quarter on the mainland.

Certainly the BEST nachos we've ever had. Packed full of flavor and beautifully cooked chunks of pork (and a lot of it)! Perfectly put together with beans, crema and BBQ sauce etc! Thank you to Dany!!!!

AN OCRACOKE GEM !! FABULOUS FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE !! This is a really fabulous spot to enjoy some very well crafted food (and some 1718 beer). The fish tacos are made by a true kitchen ARTIST. They are unique in their blend of fresh ingredients and outstanding balance. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. I give this restaurant my highest score of 5/5. Thanks to Angel, Edith and Emily for allowing me to photograph your beautiful food. - Bruce
