An open-air tiki bar in Manteo built for cold drinks and slow evenings
Mimi's Tiki Hut is a casual bar on Sailfish Drive in Manteo, on Roanoke Island — the historic, low-key side of the Outer Banks that sits apart from the barrier-island beach towns to the east. You reach the island by crossing the Washington Baum Bridge from Whalebone Junction, and once you're there, the pace changes: more marsh grass and maritime history than surf shops and crowded boardwalks. Mimi's fits right into that easier rhythm.
Listed as a brewery and bar, Mimi's leans into its tiki-hut name with an open-air, tropical-casual feel — built for a cold drink and easy conversation rather than a formal sit-down meal. It's a straightforward, unhurried stop rather than a big production, which suits Roanoke Island's overall character.
Specific hours aren't listed for Mimi's, so it's worth checking the website before heading over, especially outside peak season. There's no public rating or review history to lean on yet, so it's worth forming your own impression on a visit.

Go see Lance! The drinks are amazing. We’ve been going to Blue Water for a while and just thought this was a stop over but the live music draws you in and we found out the menu is the same as BW. Great vibes, amazing music, phenomenal cocktails! check it out if you want a more laid back vibe with great options.
