Pangea Tavern was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in the Outer Banks. The atmosphere was relaxed but upscale, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was outstanding from start to finish. The seafood was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Every dish looked as good as it tasted. The craft beer selection and cocktails were also top notch. You can tell they put a lot of care into both the menu and the overall experience. Definitely a place we’ll return to anytime we’re in Avon. Highly recommend!

Very pretty fully covered patio that we could sit with our dog. Close parking. Nice little garden around the patio. Appeared to also backup to a playground which may get noisy. The fried green tomatoes were good and the pink colada was excellent. We weren't thrilled with the crab cakes. They were more pulled pork style and the potatoes and green beans were just average. But that was our choice. Overall it was a nice little place.

Service was great, atmosphere was very relaxing and easy to converse in. Shrimp. Grits 10/10! Hands down the best shrimp a grits on be island!

What a great find! We ate outside and it was so nice to have the playground next to us for my grandson. The food and drinks were AMAZING! This is my new Hatteras Island favorite restaurant for sure. Thank you!

This place was recommended to us by the locals that we asked We had a large group of 21. We had 11 kids. We went approximately 45 minutes early before our reservation and planned to have a drink and let the kids play on the playground that they offer but it rained so we waited under the outside porch. The hostess wasn’t thrilled that we had arrived early and we were concerned that was going to indicate disappointment for the rest of the visit, but it didn’t. The server was fantastic and the food was delicious. It was served timely, even though we were a large group. They have gluten free options. I highly recommend asking for the grouper appetizer blackened which was suggested by our server since I am gluten free. She was very helpful. The chard Romain salad was beautiful. All the dishes were plated very well and everyone enjoyed their dinner. Cocktails and mocktails were good too. A little pricey but that is to be expected at the beach!
