I GIVE THEM A Low review BECAUSE:
We went to Seanna Tavern last night for dinner. It an absolutely wonderful experience overall. The food was outstanding, the service was attentive and professional, and the ambience was truly perfect. It is the kind of place you want to come back to because everything about the dining experience feels polished and enjoyable.
HOWEVER,, there is one issue that seriously needs improvement: transparency with beverage pricing. The menu lists the price of virtually every beverage, yet conveniently leaves out the prices for beer and sparkling water. Naturally, customers assume those items will be reasonably priced, only to later discover shocking charges on the final bill.
Being charged $10.00 for a 12-ounce Michelob Ultra and $9.60 for a 33-ounce sparkling water is simply excessive, especially when those prices were never disclosed beforehand. Transparency matters. Customers should not have to play guessing games when ordering basic beverages.
Seanna Tavern has everything needed to be a top-tier dining destination, but they need to be more honest and upfront about pricing. Listing those prices clearly on the menu would go a long way toward building trust with customers.
I was very disappointed our visit to this restaurant. Too small for the number of seats! My husband and I went there for our 20th anniversary expecting a better experience. We both ordered the lasagna and expected a side salad or at least Italian bread but got neither. When the lasagna arrived it was “COLD” which we had to send back. When we got our lasagna back it was like warm at best and my portion looked like a blob. It should have been a formed square so at least I could see the noodles. Not the case. Our anniversary dinner was less than romantic!
We dined at Seanna 2 weeks ago today. What a pleasant surprise! Our server, Mandy, was also our mixologist, and she was attentive and friendly, and she made two excellent cocktails, a Manhattan and a Negroni. Brava! My order of shrimp and grits was delicious, and with enough leftovers for another meal. Highly recommend!
Honestly, we initially intended to dine at a different restaurant, but due to seating constraints, we stumbled upon this establishment. Fortunately, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Our experience was simply amazing. We highly recommend trying the NY Strip Steak and the Chicken Parmigiano , as both dishes were bursting with flavor. Even the kids' meal exceeded our expectations. Other members of our group opted for Rigatoni alla vodka, Scallops & Shrimp, and Gnocchi, and every dish was a delicious delight. The drinks complemented the meal perfectly, offering a tantalizing taste. Moreover, the staff members were exceptionally friendly, and the ambiance of the place was beautifully crafted.
With a limited menu,which is fine, you should have everything on the menu. No excuses. You're an Italian Restaurant with no Lasagna? 11 of us and the majority was looking forward to the SheCrab Soup. Nope. And no alternative. There's plenty more, but I don't want to waste anymore of your time. And you shouldn't waste your time with Seanna Tavern.
