It fits neatly into Duck's more upscale, low-key character, a step removed from the busier beach-town energy further south on the island. It's an easy stop to pair with an evening stroll along the sound, especially outside the height of summer when the crowds thin out and the water views get the full effect of a Currituck Sound sunset.

Very very pleased with my experience at blue point tonight! The service was spectacular and the food arrived very fast! The biscuits and Shirley temples were amazing. Our waitress was very kind and explained the menu very throughly. Very cozy and charming atmosphere. Highly recommend coming here on your trip to the outer banks.

We went here for a date night (we came before they opened so we could get a table without a reservation). The food was delicious and the service was great, our waitress was always there but not hovering, and was able to answer our questions and give suggestions. The atmosphere was high end food while casual in the right company. We even sat outside and soon forgot about the smell of the sound!

The NC Shrimp and grits was excellent. Nice Cajun spice and shrimp were huge. Biscuits were really good and flaky. Waitress was very friendly and helpful.

We arrived early ( party of 8 ) to make use of their beautiful outside deck and bar area. We ordered and got great drinks form their friendly staff outside. Took some GREAT photos an went inside for our 7:45pm reservation. We got seated and ordered our food. Only three of us got "big plates", all the rest got a few "small plates" to mix and share. Our salads, soup and biscuits ( the biscuits were amazing ) came quite fast. And then.....we waited, and we waited, and we waited...one fish special, and two crake cake dinners...all the rest were the ribs and a salad for the main . We were finally served our dinners AFTER I asked IF there was a problem. We were served at 9:10 pm. Needless to say, we were quite irritated. I'm writing this review AFTER I spent a full week in the OBX and ate at all the "must eat" restaurants from Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head and Duck. While the food was very good, the service and timing was less than impressive. Do better, or at least have the server explain the delay or apologize. He did NEITHER. Disappointing.

Used my Resy AmEx benefit. Expected nothing truly and it was delicious. Got the tenderloin and potatoes. Extremely flavorful. The potatoes were so good. My daughter cleaned her plate. Great being on the water at sunset.
