As with most restaurants on this stretch of the Outer Banks, hours can shift with the season — busiest through the Memorial Day-to-Labor Day peak, quieter and easier to get a table during the April-May and September-October shoulder seasons — so call ahead or check the website before making the drive out.

This was my first visit to the Colington Café, but it will NOT be my last. The café was beautiful, charming, warm and inviting. The food and service was fantastic. Our entire family enjoyed the experience. Second floor, tree house, great food and service and the best way to kick off our annual trip to OBX. Thank You

WOW!!! I cannot express how much this place amazed me! We were on vacation celebrating our 3-month wedding anniversary—which was also our delayed honeymoon since we got married back in May—and wanted a special, upscale spot to celebrate.We made a 5:00 PM reservation right when they opened. When we pulled up, a huge crowd was waiting to get in—always a fantastic sign! We were greeted warmly, seated immediately, and our server, Steve, was phenomenal. He was completely on top of everything, from explaining the menu and specials to suggesting wines and checking on us perfectly.The food was absolutely amazing and hands-down the best meal we had during our entire week in the Outer Banks! But the absolute star of the show was the coconut cream pie. Even if you are completely full, do not skip dessert! Highly, highly recommend this place
