Cool local spot but not a huge beer selection as they were out of 3 drafts when we got there. Food was good.

Ordered fish tacos and chicken tenders for lunch to-go. Food tastes delicious and fresh. Will definitely come back next time.

Best margarita I have ever had. All of our food was amazing. The BEST margarita I’ve ever had. It was called the Mermaid Margarita and I highly recommend it. We started with the Beer Cheese Swirls and we devoured them. My husband and I had the Mahi Fish Tacos as well as the Sticky Shrimp. Both were delicious. The atmosphere and service were amazing. My sons tried the kids chicken tenders and loved it. Especially the cookie! You can tell everything was made with attention to detail and care. Will come here every time we come back to OBX. Our server Kat was awesome, so attentive, kind and knowledgeable. Definitely give this place a 10/10. It’s a MUST try

First time visiting The Local OBX, and everything was amazing! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures, but the food was fantastic. I’m assuming this is a newer restaurant since it was a little hard to find on Google Maps, but I can definitely see this place becoming very popular. We ordered the Low Country Boil, fish and chips, and chicken tenders with fries. They had a great variety of appetizers and entrées, and the Beer Cheese Swirl Fries were the BEST I’ve ever had! The portion sizes were perfect, and they also had a decent selection of beer and mixed drinks. It looks like they offer daily specials, and we happened to come on $4 bottled beer day. Since it was our first visit, I had to try the Mermaid Margarita. It was a little on the small side(as expected for most mixed drinks), but it was absolutely delicious. The quality of the food was excellent, and the customer service was just as good. I believe we may have been served by the owner (not 100% sure), but if it was him, he was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back. Great food, great service, and a wonderful overall experience!

This is a new restaurant. It is SO FRIENDLY. Clean and attractive. Server (Paul). Is super friendly and completely efficient. The menu was quite varied and it was hard to choose. They had several Specials that sounded wonderful. The food was delicious. We met the owner. Matthew who was super friendly. It is attached to a brewery with lots of selections. We will definitely go back. For sure !!! Ask for Paul!!!
