The Pony and The Boat sits on N Croatan Highway in Kitty Hawk, the northernmost of the three beach towns that make up this stretch of the Outer Banks. It's barrier-island living in its plainest form here — ocean a few blocks east, Currituck Sound a few blocks west, and the highway running straight through the middle carrying everyone between Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head.

My fiancé and I work in fine dining, and have had a surprisingly hard time finding good service on the OBX since being here. Beth was amazing!!! Friendly and happy to have us. Food and cocktails were fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

We were a group of 13 calling 6pm and they close at 8; they said they could take us and we arrived within 15min. The waitresses were amazing and the food was off the chart fabulous and stunning. We didnt wait for anything and couldn't thank them enough for a wonderful night.

My husband and I both enjoyed outstanding dinners tonight. The entrees of the fresh catch seared tilefish and seafood over pasta were both delicious, along with the side of corn bread which was decadent. Dessert chosen was peach cobbler--also a winner. Highly recommend.
