About

Treehouse Cafe & Coffee is a low-key coffee and bakery stop on Duck Road, geared toward quick mornings rather than a sit-down meal. It fits Duck's walkable, low-frills character — grab a coffee and something baked, then head toward the soundside boardwalk or one of the town's boutique shops nearby.

The cafe operates on a tight, beach-town schedule: open Tuesday through Sunday for coffee and breakfast, closed Monday, with slightly longer hours on weekdays than on weekends. Because it wraps up by early-to-mid afternoon, it's really a morning destination rather than an all-day option — plan to swing by before lunch.

  • Hours: Tuesday–Friday 8am–3pm, Saturday–Sunday 8am–1pm, closed Monday
  • Price point: budget-friendly ($)
  • Address: 1177 Duck Rd #34, Duck, NC 27949
  • Phone: (252) 722-3606

If you're staying in Duck for the boardwalk, the shops along Duck Road, or a few days of soundside quiet, it's a convenient coffee stop to build into the morning routine before the rest of the day's plans.

This is a really cool spot to check out! 🌴 It’s different and unique which we love. Definitely recommend the lattes and to try The Press sandwich. I loved that they had a filtered water station inside too and there was plenty of seating inside and outside.

Treehouse cafe has an amazing atmosphere. It is so cute in there. On arrival there are many places to park due to it being in a shopping area. The people we interact with were amazing and so helpful and patient. We averaged our food to be about 25$ per person and that was coffee and biscuits. Once coffee is ordered you wait for it then pick a seat if you are dining in. There are 7-10 tables inside but there is plenty of options outside to eat. The food came out fast and was delicious.

Great coffee and breakfast spot. We’ve been in the middle of the summer as well as the off season and they don’t miss. It can be a bit of a wait in season since it’s a popular spot, but the food is delicious and the coffee is great. The sandwiches are expensive but not unusual for beach prices. $13-15 for an egg and cheese biscuit.

Biscuits worth waiting in line for. Arrived at 8am to a line of 20 or so people already in line. Always the sign of good food. Biscuits are large and crumbly. Sandwich was good but the regular biscuit with honey and salt is the best bite of the whole week.

Worth the wait! I visit this cafe whenever I’m in town. There’s normally a long line if you come before 10 am during the summer but it’s mostly because the food is great. The biscuits have a nice crumbly crust and the inside is buttery and flaky! The French toast is delicious too -but massive, perfect for sharing! They also have healthy alternatives in their menu and everything tastes fresh and delicious. Their staff is the cherry on top because they’re friendly and very polite. I can’t wait to come back!
