A Kitty Hawk restaurant and bottle shop rolled into one, with a bar built for slow evenings
TRIO Restaurant & Market sits on N Croatan Highway in Kitty Hawk, at the quieter north end of the beach road corridor before it runs south into Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head. The name is literal: it's a restaurant, a bar, and a market sharing one building, built around a serious selection of wine, craft beer, and liquor you can either order with dinner or pick up a bottle of on your way out.
It's open daily, starting at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and 11 a.m. the rest of the week, with the kitchen and bar running until 9 p.m. every night. That kind of daily consistency is handy on a barrier island where plenty of kitchens close mid-afternoon between lunch and dinner service. Given its spot on the Croatan Highway corridor, it's an easy stop for anyone moving between Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills.

We loved the food there and the atmosphere. Our server, Michelle is the best server. Not just she is funny, entertaining, she takes care of everyone so well. We all pretty much had customized orders and she handled it so well. We all loved her service so much! We ordered Trio Burger and Trio Breakfast Plate and they were good. They also have Gluten-Free separate menu as well. I recommend this place for brunch and to chill overall.

Meat and Cheese Charcuterie board was amazing. Clams in white wine sauce had perfect balance of herbs and spice. Seafood Risotto was okay... Seafood was fresh but the risotto lacked salt and too bit too much cheese or nutritional yeast whatever was used. Wine selection was phenomenal and service was stellar, very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back !!.

Been visiting the OBX for many years and this was our first time trying TRIO Restaurant & Market. We were seated right away and we really had a great experience. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly which was very much appreciated. We ordered the Seasonal Bowl along with Shrimp & Grits. Food tasted great and we would definitely recommend TRIO Restaurant & Market!

Alright this restaurant/ market is by far one of my favorite places ever the food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented in go there all of the time and they always wow me like two days ago I got a lamb flat bread it was the chefs kiss my mom and step dad ordered the steak it looked delicious. and they also have a great brunch menu too and their drink menu is very well crafted along with their virgin drink menu too like strawberry piña colda and watermelon mint cooler just overall amazing service and food/drink

Food *chef*s kiss* Service *chef's kiss* Must try the Goat Cheese with fig Spread and the scallops are absolutely perfect. If you're lucky enough to get Michelle as your waitress trust her in all things. She is without a doubt the best waitress I have had in years. The cheese in the shop is also a must try. Thank you so much Trio for such a wonderful experience!
