4th Street Beach Access

4th Street Beach Access is another of Kill Devil Hills' numbered public crossovers from Beach Road to the ocean, part of the same town-wide network as First Street Beach Access a few blocks north. It's built for the same simple purpose: parking and walking straight to the water.

• Public, walk-up access — no fee, no reservation
• Directly oceanfront on the Atlantic side of Beach Road in Kill Devil Hills
• Beach driving isn't allowed on this stretch of the northern Outer Banks
• Quietest in the early morning or during shoulder season (April–May, September–October)

As an access point rather than a business, don't expect posted hours or a website.
