We had an incredible experience on this horseback riding tour! From start to finish, the guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable, regardless of experience level. My boyfriend had never ridden a horse before, but his horse was calm, well-trained, and easy to control, which made his first ride so enjoyable. One of my favorite parts was that the guides took photos of us with our own phones while we were riding on the beach, so we came home with amazing memories without having to worry about taking pictures ourselves. The ride itself was absolutely beautiful. We explored the Buxton Forest, one of the largest remaining Maritime Evergreen Forests on the East Coast, and saw plenty of wildlife along the way, including deer, snakes, and a variety of birds. Riding through the forest before emerging onto the beach made the experience even more memorable. Once we reached the beach, we rode our horses along the shoreline with incredible ocean views. For anyone wanting a little more excitement, the guides even gave riders the opportunity to gallop down the beach with one of them, which was such a fun and unique experience. The horses were clearly well cared for, gentle, and responsive, making this ride perfect for both beginners and experienced riders. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable horseback riding adventure on the Outer Banks!
