Awesome experience and my favorite part of the trip! I’d highly, highly recommend this tour! It’s obvious that the guide and captain were very knowledgeable about and respectful of the dolphins. We saw tons and tons of dolphins, almost everywhere we looked. They have a book with all the different named dolphins and share lots of interesting facts. You have plenty of time to take pictures and videos and it was a comfortable ride, although I’d recommend holding on to your hats since it gets windy when you’re cruising!
First off, unbeatable experience. The marine biologist on board, Callyn Clark, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour. We saw dolphins, a rainbow, and a gorgeous sunset.
My only note would be to make the Venmo QR code larger and more visible, as well as utilizing other payment apps. I had to personally ask Callyn where I could tip.
We had a fantastic sunset tour with JB as our captain! The first mate was super knowledgeable about all the wildlife and dolphins. We had a great experience. We saw maybe 10-20 dolphins but the captain did a great job trying to keep us near them.
I booked my tickets after reading all the glowing reviews, so I want to add my review as a CAUTION.The Good: Same-day booking was easy, there was no problem with parking or getting tickets, the tour started on time, and both the captain and marine biologist were courteous and knowledgeable. They also engaged the kids with some activities.The Disappointing: It was a 2-hour ride on a sunny afternoon in the last week of June—supposedly the best time to watch dolphins—and we saw only 3 dolphins, just their backs actually, for a few minutes. The captain took us to another location, but it was not a good day. The marine biologist even said that this week had not been great for her. She tried to engage us by telling us about the history, the market on the coast, pelicans, and bird nests, but that was not something my family was there for. All the excitement was dead by the end of the first hour. My kids even had a good 30 minutes of sleep during the later half. Most of our time was spent just waiting.I had high expectations for this tour. We shortened our beach time and skipped the aquarium for this, and it turned out to be a 2-hour ferry ride to nowhere. I understand it's nature and the crew had no control over the dolphins, but it was disappointing. Anyone with kids booking the tour, be prepared for a boring 2-hour ride if you are not lucky enough
Got to see a few different pods of dolphins, Osprey, pelican, and even a swimming crab. 2hr ride with bathroom on board boat. Gift shop has a nice selection of items. Can rent kayak, jetski, and pontoon here also.
