Ocean Crest Community Private Beach Access
Private beach access reserved exclusively for Ocean Crest homeowners and their guests
About
Ocean Crest Community Private Beach Access marks the beach crossover for the Ocean Crest neighborhood at 105 Ocean Crest Way in Duck, NC. It's a residential access point, not a public attraction — the path down to the sand here is reserved for Ocean Crest homeowners and their guests, so if you're exploring Duck and come across this crossover, admire it from the road and keep moving. Duck itself is one of the Outer Banks' most walkable towns, built around a soundside boardwalk on Currituck Sound with a cluster of boutique shops and a quieter, more upscale feel than the busier beaches to the south. Public beach access for visitors is well marked throughout town, with municipal crossovers a short walk or drive from most rentals. The Ocean Crest crossover itself stays open around the clock, but that access is limited to the community — it isn't a substitute for one of Duck's public beach accesses. Worth keeping in mind while mapping out beach access during a Duck stay, if only to rule this one out and find the nearest public option instead.
