Maps, brochures, and trip-planning help right off Croatan Highway in Kitty Hawk
The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau's Kitty Hawk location sits directly on N Croatan Hwy (US-158), making it an easy stop for anyone driving in through the northern beaches. As the region's visitors bureau, it functions as a trip-planning resource — a place to pick up maps and brochures, get oriented before you start exploring, and ask questions about beaches, attractions, and things to do up and down the Outer Banks.
It's listed as a tour operator/travel agency, so beyond the walk-in info desk, expect it to serve as a starting point for trip planning rather than a retail or dining stop. The location is open daily from 9am to 5pm, which lines up well with a morning arrival or a midday break between beach time.
If you're mapping out a first trip to the northern Outer Banks — Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, and Kitty Hawk — swinging by before you hit the beach is a low-effort way to leave with a physical map and a clearer plan for the days ahead.

The gentleman at the customer service atea is wonderful and very polite. Very nice area and I would recommend if you need a rest break if you're in the area to stop there. Facility is very clean.
