Currituck Golf Course sits within the golf-course community of the same name on Ocean Trail in Corolla, part of the Invited network of private and semi-private clubs found across the country. The layout winds through maritime forest and marshland characteristic of this stretch of the northern Outer Banks, with holes tracing toward Currituck Sound and long views across the water and surrounding lowcountry terrain. It's a coastal course in the fullest sense — wind off the sound is a factor on more than a few holes, and the setting trades ocean views for the quieter, marsh-and-pine scenery that defines Corolla's interior.

The course sits in paved Corolla proper, a short drive from the village's historic district — the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, the Whalehead Club, and Currituck Heritage Park — as well as the shops and restaurants clustered along Ocean Trail and NC-12. As a members-oriented club under the Invited banner, access and tee times typically run through membership or a member sponsor rather than walk-up public booking, so golfers planning a round should check directly with the club for current policy.

Great day on the course in OBX. My only gripe was the near $200 price tag but I suppose you are paying for the convenience if you are staying on the island. Course was in good shape for end of summer. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

Nice layout but a bit high on the fees. I guess that's the convenience fee for being the only course up north. Staff was accommodating but a couple seemed uninterested in their guests. Good practice facility with range and large putting area.

I played in mid June 2026. Overall not worth $199. Course was in decent shape but nothing spectacular. Golf carts are GPS monitored, which restricts your driving, but they dont have an interactive screen. Ball washers/club washers on the cart were dry. No water stations throughout the course. We were very early to our tee time and I wanted more time on the range but the starter kept asking if we were "ready to go."

This is a tough course to review. I would probably go more 2.5 stars but figured I would round up because it was such a nice day. The fairways were nice as well as the views. That’s about it. Greens were rough. Looks like they were trying to do repairs. You would think they would reduce the price (200 is steep for a course being worked on). Where they lose a lot of stars is the poison ivy. It’s everywhere. The course is narrow with a lot of trees so one is bound to find their way into some uncharted territory (unless they are Scotty scheffler). Unlucky for me, I didn’t realize it was poison ivy until it was way too late. I guess at this course sand isn’t the only hazard you have to deal with. I give their grounds crew a negative 100% grade. I would add pictures of my rash, but my wife told me that that would be inappropriate.
