It's a straightforward option for travelers who want a Corolla address without oceanfront pricing — beach access points, the shops and restaurants along Corolla Village Road, and the historic district are all a short drive away.

The location puts Corolla's landmark sites within easy reach: the climbable Currituck Beach Lighthouse, the restored Whalehead Club mansion, and the grounds of Currituck Heritage Park all sit mid-town, along with the Currituck Sound waterfront. Duck's soundside boardwalk and boutique shopping are a short drive south.

Golden Dunes was my first experience near Corolla and now it's the only place I want to return to! House was immaculate - every bedroom and bathroom was stocked with all our needs, appliances are new and clean, and the house itself is bright, airy, and has a view of the ocean a few blocks away. The beach is only a short walk, and there are plenty of beach amenities available near the outdoor shower for guests to use. We made excellent use of both the hot tub and pool, both of which were easy to use and heated to perfection. So thankful for the opportunity to stay here, and will absolutely be back!

Golden Dunes is the quintessential beach house that has it all. It is large enough to accommodate multiple people yet cozy and homey. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, a great open living room, heated pool AND hot tub, and great access to the beach. I will definitely be back for my next Outer Banks getaway!

We stayed at Golden Dunes for our anniversary recently. It was amazing! Easy walk back and forth to the beach, great amenities, beautiful home, superb layout, ultra comfortable. The lighthouse is a short bike ride away. Vicki, the host/owner is awesome! She answers questions right away and is very conscientious about her guests' comforts. Perfect for traveling with your dog as they have just about everything you could need. The outdoor run/kennel is under the second floor deck, so it's perfect if it's raining if your pups (or humans!) don't want to get wet. The dining table is huge! It's perfect for table top games! The hot tub was my favorite part. You could watch the sun set over the bay, then watch the moon rise over the ocean and star gaze well into the night! Our entire stay was delightful.

Spent a lovely beach weekend at Golden Dunes with some girlfriends. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware for people who love to prepare their own meals. We spent lots of time in the pool and hot tub. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation at the beach 😊

Hi. We stayed in early July. Vicki and Golden Dunes were amazing. I can not say enough good things about Vicki. She checked in with us to ensure all was ok and gave helpful tips when asked. Golden Dunes is super convenient to the beach and had everything we needed to enjoy our week. Super close to the 4x4 area. Thanks for sharing your place with us Vicki!!
