Hotel Manteo, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

A Trademark Collection hotel on US-64 in Manteo, on the route between the bridge and the historic waterfront

About

Hotel Manteo, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, sits along US-64 in Manteo, the road that carries traffic off the Washington Baum Bridge and onto Roanoke Island from the beach towns to the east. The Trademark Collection is Wyndham's soft-brand line for independently run hotels — each property keeps its own identity and management rather than following a standardized chain layout, while plugging into Wyndham's reservation and rewards system.

Positioned Near Roanoke Island's Historic Core

The island's north end holds a cluster of related but distinct historic sites, all within a short drive:

  • Fort Raleigh National Historic Site — the NPS-administered site of the 1580s Roanoke Colony, England's first attempt at a permanent New World settlement. The colony's fate was never confirmed and remains an open historical mystery.
  • Elizabethan Gardens — a separate non-profit botanical garden adjacent to the fort grounds.
  • The Lost Colony — the long-running outdoor symphonic drama staged at the Waterside Theatre on the same historic grounds.
  • Roanoke Island Festival Park — a state historic site across the water in downtown Manteo, with a recreated 16th-century ship and museum exhibits.

Downtown Manteo's walkable waterfront district around Shallowbag Bay — a different scene entirely from the beach-town strips — is also close by, putting the hotel within easy reach of both the island's history and its harbor.

Where do I start…… pool not in working condition…….was not on website. Also, the room they gave us was dirty and not cleaned up there was coke cans, trash, and sheets everywhere! We went to manager and she said they couldn’t refund us our money because it was third party!!! So if Expedia doesn’t give us our money back the MANAGER told us they might give us our money back!!!!WOW. Not the last this hotel will hear from us

Great place to stay, budget friendly. Close to downtown and other places to see. 12 mins to Nags Head and beach areas. Nice rooms and pet friendly. Definitely will stay here again.

Believe the other one star reviews of this property. The rooms are not fit for occupancy. Not only are they humid and moldy, there are dead bugs, hair in the sink, and the smoke detector was absent.

Do not recommend staying here. My bill was tied to a different person and apparently no one with the hotel is able to fix it. I can't the charges resolved. Very stressful.
