Land Shark is a vacation rental in Hatteras village, the southernmost of Hatteras Island's villages and the last stop on NC-12 before the free ferry crosses to Ocracoke Island. The location puts guests inside Cape Hatteras National Seashore, with the village's charter docks, restaurants, and harbor a short drive away rather than a long haul, and open beach never far from the front door.

This is a great house. Cozy setting for year round stay. My family and I took a trip down in the winter but also in the summer. The house is in the perfect location. The owner was also very accommodating throughout our stay.

We rented the Hatteras house “Landshark” for Thanksgiving week. Our family said it was the best house we’ve rented over the 15 years we’ve rented throughout the OBX.! What we loved: (1) The views were amazing!! Sound front sunsets, Oceanfront sunrises ( a short walk across road & over dune (2) comfortable house, new appliances, comfortable beds, great layout, hot tub nice & hot & clean. Pet friendly A VIEW FROM EVERY BEDROOM! 4 Master King bedrooms w/access and chairs right outside full slider doors. (3) Elevator that went all the way down to ground floor carport. (4) our adult kids enjoyed the nice Pool table. Few things that we couldn’t figure out well—media room projector, couldn’t watch Thanksgiving day football games, but couldn’t get it to work with the movies except the first day. Maybe a connectivity issue…internet was not working well. It helps to be tech savvy (5) recommend replacing carpet with flooring..There were some stains that made you feel it was soiled. But the house did not have a bad smell. (6) recommend adding a TV in another “common space” area. The views were just amazing to wake up to every morning. Especially the sound side. Saw a great blue heron that lives on the marsh, an egret, and a young buck. Could see dolphins on the Oceanside too! Great House! Thank you for letting us spend thanksgiving in Land Shark.
