An impromptu overnight stay to use some credit card points... wow!! How nice!
The suite was spectacular. We checked in early and they had the AC going for us. Very clean suite, which was impressive considering all the different surfaces and appliances. It was like staying at a nice apartment where I could cook a meal and wash my clothes, which are things you want when staying at the beach.
Everything is done without face-to-face interaction, so there's no front desk and all your crucial info comes through email. Since I book through my credit card, I didn't get the emails, but the 2 separate people who picked up when I called helped me easily and efficiently.
Can't wait to go back!
Amazing boutique hotel in OBX!
I liked the check-in process which worked well for us. They give you the key code for your room before you arrive and then you’re all set.
The rooms are very well styled, with lots of cool furniture, fixtures, and a full kitchen.
I also liked the wellness deck which has a hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge, and room for doing yoga and relaxing.
I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Our couples stay at Pamlico was nothing short of perfect! The room was beautiful—absolutely aesthetically pleasing—and the décor was impeccable. The suite was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, which was a huge plus.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the property manager, who welcomed us by name and shared a few helpful tips about the property and surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, as well as the sauna and hot tub experience.
One of our favorite parts was the location. We were just a 10-minute walk from the beach and only a few minutes away from local bars, a coffee shop, and an entertainment arcade, making it easy to enjoy everything the area had to offer.
The only issue we encountered was that the A/C had some trouble working, so the suite became a bit warm at times. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to an otherwise exceptional stay.
Overall, our experience was a 10/10, and we will definitely be back for our next vacation. Highly recommend!
This was my first visit to Rodanthe, North Carolina. I had only heard of it because of the movie Nights in Rodanthe, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
If you’re looking for peace, quiet, and a slower pace of life, this is a wonderful destination. The area is very serene and has a relaxing coastal atmosphere. One thing I appreciated was that there aren’t a lot of chain restaurants. Most of the dining options are locally owned mom-and-pop establishments, which adds to the town’s charm rather than taking away from it.
There are a few local shops to browse, some arcade-style activities for children, and if you’re looking for more shopping, the outlet mall is about 30 minutes away. Traveling along North Carolina Highway 12 also gives you the opportunity to explore other Outer Banks communities, including Avon and Cape Hatteras.
One thing to keep in mind is that Highway 12 can be busy, especially during peak travel times, since it’s the main road connecting the islands.
From my personal observation, Rodanthe did not appear to be a very diverse community. That didn’t affect my stay, but it’s something I noticed during my visit.
Overall, if your goal is to unplug, enjoy the beach, support local businesses, and experience the quiet beauty of the Outer Banks, Rodanthe is definitely worth a visit.
Very nice comfortable room. Check in was a but frustrating as I didn't receive the email with the door access code and they don't have onsite staff. It took me 40 minutes of ai conversation to get three email sent.
Hotel is 25+ only. Meaning no children.
I didnt feel comfortable with the exterior door as it had no deadbolt. Although, I did not encounter a problem.
The room is a very lovely large suite. It has a nice bathroom. The bedding is comfortable and good quality.
