This place is just ok. The location is great and it is an updated motel. We liked the location and the decor of room 20. Coffee maker, microwave and fridge are always good to have, especially since there is no ice machine. The pool was nice. The issue we had was that the room had an odor of mold smell. It was very humid or wet feeling in the room too. I am sensitive to smells so did not like that. The room was clean though. Floors not so much but I expect that from beach hotels and we wear slippers around the room. It was plenty cool and quiet for us. I forced myself to get past the smell. Unfortunately the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Not sure if the other rooms have the same mattress but it was terrible. Maybe another room would be better. I don't know if I'm willing to take the chance. It would be nice if they could mitigate the mold issue/smell or cut the humidity down to prevent it. Had no issue with getting in the room. No staff on site but some cleaning crew can be seen in the late morning if you needed to ask for things I assume. There was always a parking spot available. It was very tight to navigate if you have a larger vehicle but it is possible.

Beds are rock hard, I have a bad back so its been hurting because of the bed. That being said the rooms are small but doable, they aren't far from beach access. Theres a small pool. Its not worth what you pay for it unless getting through discount sites. Won't be using them again. Mediocrity at best

This place has gone DOWNHILL!! FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY!!! This was our second stay at this motel. First stay was great! Clean room, decent beds, parking was okay, good location. HOWEVER, this second time staying was HORRIBLE!! We were told we could check in at 4:00pm. Called to ask a general question with customer service and it took 3 calls and finally selecting the option to make a reservation to even get someone on the phone. After answering our question they told us we could see if our room was ready early if we wanted to. We peeked inside and it was not ready. Which was fine because we were early. We went to the beach for the day anyways. We got back well after 4:00pm and were told by the cleaning staff our room was not ready yet. (It had been vacant for over 4 hours) We had to sit at the pool and wait almost an hour past our check in time to access our room. Keeping in mind we had THREE kids and dinner plans. We called to voice our concerns about this and were told TWICE on two different calls that someone would call us back. That was on Friday and as of right now on Sunday we have yet to receive a call back. Once in our room I immediately noticed it was nothing like the last time we stayed. The room didn’t smell clean or sanitized at all. I feel like we got a rush job with the cleaning because of it not being ready on time. We also noticed once the kids started showers that we didn’t even have enough towels. There is no office on site so my husband had to run down one of the cleaning staff workers that was still there before they left to ask for another towel. And yes, we had the same number of people as we put on the reservation so no we did not try to sneak anyone in before that becomes the excuse for not enough towels. The beds are HORRIBLE!! You can feel every single spring. Even the kids complained about the beds which they never do. The AC struggles to keep the room cool. It got very hot in our room a few times even with us not opening doors. The little back deck has uneven wood sticking all up. I tripped walking back inside the sliding door. Refrigerator also does not cool very well. We did adjust the temp and it got a little better. Parking is so so bad!!! Very tight to get around and not enough parks for everyone at night. I also really dislike the customer service setup. They give you a phone number to call but they either don’t answer or don’t return your call when they tell you they will. This is a major concern in the event someone’s door lock malfunctions or any other urgent situation. I guess you will have to stay locked out over night. I also did not immediately jump on here to leave a negative review.. I waited 2 days for a reply/phone call and decided to post this to maybe help someone else have a better vacation somewhere else. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY!! It’s not worth the little bit you save booking here!
