We were dazzled by our stay! The team at Pamlico has clearly put so much heart, care, and thought into curating a welcoming and comfortable experience. It felt like the inn embraced the beautiful land, sound, and creatures around it, which felt magical to be in respectful community with the flora and fauna of the area. We experienced great service, very attentive, warm, and friendly. We also loved that the website detailed the story and life of the inn and those who have created it, it is easy to feel how loved and full of passion the place is! The food was incredible and we very much appreciated the complimentary breakfast. We’re excited to come back and feel so grateful to the Pamlico team!
Went this past weekend for a family wedding. What a beautiful location. I saw several rooms and each had a view of the sound. Magnolia was my favorite room. The Inn has a pool, small beach and lots of floats, paddle boards, canoes to keep you entertained. The water is shallow for the little ones.
Cafe was great for breakfast and brunch. Did not do dinner, but met a local who said the cafe was the best for dinner. Service was slow so take your time, especially at brunch but it might have been that there were 16 of us.
Staff is exceptionally friendly. From the front desk to the cafe staff to the housekeepers. Made you feel welcome and cared for. Great fire pit to spend a late afternoon or evening with if you don’t want to sit on your porch. There is also a small movie room for the little ones. Definitely fits the bill for a family or a romantic get away
Area has lots of shops and some nightlife. Highly recommend .
This place is awesome! The staff is kind and they’re as helpful as can be and more! The rooms each have an astonishing view of lake/ river right on the shore near the inn. They are also equipped with TVs and all the things you need for a warm bath after a full day of driving! The beds are soft as a cloud! The location is spot-on because it captures a wonderful, astounding view and the sunrises and sunsets are incomparable to any others! This hotels location is also right next to the highway so drivers can unwind after a day of heavy driving. And don’t forget it comes with great amenities such as you can use the inn’s kayaks, paddle boards and you can swim in the pool. This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at!

Our wedding weekend at the Inn on Pamlico Sound was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment our family arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for by the incredibly friendly staff. The rooms were absolutely stunning, spotless, and so comfortable for everyone staying on-site.
One of our favorite parts was having all of our loved ones together in one place. It made the entire weekend feel so special—whether we were gathering for meals, catching up on the balconies, or simply being able to "beep bop" back to our rooms after celebrating together. It created such a relaxed and intimate atmosphere that allowed us to spend meaningful quality time with family and friends.
A memory we'll cherish forever is how our family members and friends were able to watch our first look from their balconies overlooking the property. Seeing everyone quietly sharing in that special moment made it even more meaningful and unique.
The Inn's attention to detail truly sets it apart. The fresh cookies available every day were such a thoughtful touch, and our guests couldn't stop talking about them. It's those little details that made everyone feel at home and added so much warmth to the experience.
We are so grateful for everything the Inn on Pamlico Sound did to make our wedding weekend unforgettable. The beautiful setting, exceptional hospitality, and wonderful accommodations made it the perfect place to celebrate. We can't wait to come back for future anniversaries and relive all of the amazing memories we made there.
We were there for a wedding. I can’t say enough, good things about this location, the facilities, and the outstanding food in the café.
But maybe more than anything I want to compliment the ownership and the staff. They truly went out of their way to make our stay and the event a complete success and a memorable experience.
As an example, for all of my “perfect” planning, I forgot my white button-down shirt to go with the new suit that I bought. The owner, Steve, literally gave me the shirt off his back to spare me having to make a trip into Hattiesburg to buy one. Actually, it was brand new, and in the package. Never worn before. Thankfully, we were the same size.
And that is just one example of just how committed he and his staff are to making your experience with them the best it can possibly be.
