Good to know

Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, and Kitty Hawk don't allow beach driving within town limits — that's the domain of Corolla's northern beaches and Hatteras Island well to the south. A rental from here works best as the vehicle that gets you to those true 4x4 beach areas, or simply as a roomier, higher-clearance ride for getting around the Beach Road corridor during a week at the coast.

*******Absolutely horrible, made a reservation back in JANUARY over the phone and paid the deposit and after and EIGHT hours of driving we show up to the address which is a disheveled mess to not a single person there Needed to call to get Bret to show up just to tell us that he has no rental for us even tho it was fully scheduled and confirmed on his end. He offered a Nissan armada in replacement for a JEEP GLADIATOR. While showing up in his unregistered personal vehicle. Appreciate the apology and the great welcoming to our yearly OBX vacation. 10/10 DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am surprised of my experience as this company had such high reviews. It was probably just a one off but I booked my vehicle for my family of 7 back in November (8 months ago) so we could be sure to have the right vehicle for ocracoke. the company cancelled on us the day we were to arrive in ORF, just a few hours before and there were no rental cars available at the airport. Thankfully a manager from alamo at orf helped us out but i was very dissappointed with the service from beach4x4. Again, probably a one off

We booked last second and they had a new Tacoma available! Easy pickup and drop off. Brett was cool and let us keep it and extra hour since we were rained out all am. Thanks!

I rented a Jeep from Diane and Bret for my week in Corolla and couldn't have been happier. The Jeep drove perfectly, whether on the road or on the sand. We had everything we needed to air up/air down, the laminated directions were a perfect reference. This was my first time driving a Jeep/4x4, first time driving on the beach - I had 0 issues and would do it again in a heartbeat. We loved the blue Jeep and totally understand the hype around them! Thanks so much Diane and Bret! We will definitely rent theough you again when we return!
