I don't usually leave reviews, but these guys definitely deserve one. We rented an electric golf cart from OBX Beach Toy Rentals in Corolla, and the whole experience was awesome. Aaron was great to deal with. Super friendly, answered all of our questions, and had the cart delivered exactly when he said he would. Couldn't have been easier.
I honestly didn't even know golf carts got this nice. When they dropped it off, it was spotless. I'm talking cleaner than some rental cars I've picked up. The seats looked brand new, the body was clean, the wheels were shining, and you could tell they actually take care of their carts instead of just sending them out beat up. Everything felt tight, solid, and well maintained.
The LED headlights were probably my favorite part. Seriously... when was the last time you saw a golf cart with LED headlights? I didn't even know that was a thing until this trip. They were crazy bright at night. It also had turn signals, mirrors, and everything you could ask for. It felt more like driving a little car than a golf cart.
It had plenty of power too. It cruised around Corolla with no problem, and it handled the sandy roads way better than I expected. The ride was smooth, it was quiet, and everyone in our group kept saying how nice it was.
Overall, you can tell OBX Beach Toy Rentals takes a lot of pride in what they rent out. The customer service was top-notch, the delivery was fast, and the cart was in amazing condition. We'll definitely be renting from them again the next time we're in the Outer Banks. Thanks again, Aaron!

We had an awesome experience renting from this company while we were at the beach! The mopeds were in great condition, easy to ride, and made getting around so much more fun than driving everywhere.
The biggest shoutout goes to Todd. We accidentally locked the keys inside the moped, and he responded incredibly fast. He got to us quickly, got us back on the road in no time, and completely turned what could have been a stressful situation into a minor hiccup. That kind of customer service is hard to find these days.

I drove by OBX Rentals since I noticed the bikes outside. I was greeted by two individuals that work there and they promptly went inside got the details that I needed to rent a bike last minute. The customer service was absolutely fantastic and I was so thrilled to have my bikes delivered on the same day that I reserve them. I love that they drop the bikes off and pick them up at the end of the week. Saves so much time! The bike was in great condition and I love that we were able to upgrade with a basket, helmets and lights if needed.I will definitely be using them in the future when we return to OBX!
DO NOT RENT from this business. My family rented bikes from this business during our family vacation. We rented for 1 week. Upon receiving the bikes, one adult cruiser had broken handle bars and 2 child carriers had a broken support bar in the back. Within 10 minutes of our first bike ride, the back snapped off multiple times, bumping my daughter on the head and almost causing her to fall out of the carrier. Upon inspection, the second carrier had the same issue. When trying to contact them via phone calls, it automatically went to voicemail. I left five voicemails with no response. I then had to travel to the facility and request replacements and a partial refund, as this was the 2nd day we missed being able to use our bike rentals. It took them 4 hours to replace the broken bikes. The individual ensured me I would receive a phone call from their “office manager” regarding a partial refund. I never received a phone call. I waited an additional 5 days for this phone call and they never called me. I went back down to their office to demand a refund. The individual at the office sent a text to their “office manager” with my information to get a partial refund, it has now been 3 additional days and still no response. I will NEVER use this business again. I will recommend to everyone to never use this business.
